This species is a stunning, iridescent blue tarantula, originating from isolated areas of Bahia, Brazil. This species is generally terrestrial, but is known to burrow. This species has urticating hairs and can be quite skittish, preferring to retreat rather than stand it's ground if it feels threatened.
